  • Things I've learned from "Angel"

    Angel-cast

Now, seeing as how I did a fun little list for "Buffy" I figured since I just finished up watching "Angel" this week the show does deserve a 'things I've learned from Angel' blog. So, here it is..

    1. The most 'good' of heart are likely to be hi-jacked: Look at what happens to Cordie and Fred..Both times it is explained that they have been taken over because they are 'good' of heart and 'pure'. You'd think that being good of heart and pure would be a good thing but apperently that makes it just that much more likely that you will be taken over by a demon.

    2. Sometimes what you think is the best decision can be seen as the wrong one by others- Wes is the one that pretty much lives with this one the most but so does Angel. Sure, people may eventually understand somewhere down the line but yes, people will be salty over your 'good' decision because they don't understand it.

    3. You think raising a normal teen is hard try raising one that spent time in a hell dimension- Yes, I hate the Connor season slightly mostly because he's an ungrateful teenager but yeah, aren't all teens like that anyways? I think I draw the line at where he starts trying to shoot people and really goes off the deep end right before the season finale.then, Angel gives him up and he turns out to be a well adjusted young man when he's not raised in a hell dimension...go figure.

    4. A simple song is all you need- Lauren became a great addition to the cast and he can read you with you simply singing a song. Got a question that you want answered..sing a song and maybe your question will be found. He has the best power..ever!

    5. Becoming a puppet can be fun- I love "Smile time"..I must say its the best episode if I do say so myself out of the entire series. Not only does Angel become cute as a puppet but he also ends up getting other things you get when you become a puppet like over exageratted emotions!

    6. A good friendship will always be by your side- When Spike joins the cast in the last season..Yes, Angel and Spike have their differences and even annoy each other at times but they do still fight by each others side and are friends through and through no matter what..even if they do annoy each other at times.

    7. Just because it looks pretty doesn't mean you should touch it- Seriously, a lot of times in the series people just touch things..maybe because its shiny or looks cool and then they end up with a curse or even dead..seriously, I don't care how 'cool' it looks..it doesn't mean you should touch it.

    8. Don't believe everything that everyone tells you- this is covered A LOT in the series. Everything from when the demon shows up claiming to be God to Eve working with them at the law firm. Just because someone tells you that they aren't evil..seriously, it doesn't mean that they aren't evil..use your head.

    9. Be careful what you wish for- in season one Angel gets turned immortal and after living out his entire day he quickly realizes that even though he'd love to be human he can't help out Buffy not being a vampire and makes a deal for everything be reveresed..it clearly wasn't all it was cracked up to.

    10. Some things just aren't suppose to happen- When Cordy and Angel figure out they have feelings for each other things just well, go to hell..literally. Sure, it could have happened..they had plans on telling each other how they felt but it just never happened..it just wasn't suppose to happen at the end of the day.

    11. If a deal seems to good to true it probably is- Lets go into when Angel takes the job at the law firm..Yes, it turns out bad with a bunch of people playing him and his friends..just because it seems like a good deal doesn't mean it is in reality a good deal..at all.

    12. Just because something is impossible doesn't mean it won't happen- Lets look at Connor..He was suppose to never be born to begin with..He is a mystery and was 'never suppose to happen' but hey, he did..it may seem impossible but in reality impossible can be possible.

    13. We all have things to come to terms with its a matter of coming to terms with them- Doyle is the one that addresses this in season one but it is a reoccuring theme and something we all have to deal with in reality- sure, you did some bad things and made some mistakes but you've still gotta come to terms with them and come to terms with life in general after you've done what you have done.

    14. Don't judge a book by its cover- this happens numerous times..Once with Lauren and again with Gunn and Angel. Sure, you may 'look' a certain way but that doesn't mean you are a certain way in reality. People will surprise you if you don't judge the cook by the cover and allow them to show you their true color.

    and last but not least..

    15. A group of friends will always eventually end up coming back together as one- The whole Angel group ends up in a fight here and there but eventually end up having each others back through it all. Sure, there's periods wher this person or that person isn't talking to one another but in the end it all works out and everyone is always keeping an eye out for each other.

Well- there you have..the next series I have started is "Charmed" so I may do a what I've learned from that..I have also watched "How I met your mother" but since that series is still on the air and I'm still waiting on watching the last season that aired..clearly that won't happen but yes, coming soon a "Charmed" blog.
