  • My shopping is done...well, mostly.

This week has been rather productive yet busy at the same time. We started the week waiting for the proof of Logan's book to come via email. We knew this would take a few days..so we kind of just waited it out. In the meantime, I took care of Christmas/birthday shopping for Gavii online. That ended up being pretty easy thanks to Toys R' Us and some of their awesome Black Friday deals that I was able to grab up. She scored a few more things then expected because they had some great buy one get one free deals still available once I ordered.

Anyways, Wednesday I had a hair appointment set up and yeah, that didn't go as smoothly as I would have wanted it to. That night we ended up staying up way too late so that we could finish watching "Teen Wolf"..Yes, I know..I know..but it really is a great show if you can get past it being named after the 80s movie. It really has a plot line all it's own and personally I think they should have just called it something else because it seriously strays a lot away from the movie. Anyways, we finished watching "Teen Wolf" then we watched the one episode of "Happily ever after" that we were behind then Logan put on some "Santurary"..Yeah, we stayed up way too late. It was somewhere around 1am when I headed to bed. Anyways, Wednesday morning Logan actually woke me up at around 7:30am and told me I had to get up. I sat in bed for a minute then I took a shower, washed my face and went downstairs where I found Logan already sipping his coffee. So yeah, the morning ended up being a bit rushed but breakfast was able to be squeezed in. I cut up my veggies and ham the night before so it was pretty easy for me to toss together some quick eggs for myself and Gavii.

We called for the cab at around 9:30am and normally this gives them enough time to get to our house but this time they were running behind which left me running behind..again. I got to my appointment a few minutes late which I wasn't too thrilled about because I did want coffee but oh well..I had a nice quiet time getting my hair colored and cut. This is the first time in a long while that I've been able to go during the week so I found the peacefulness of the salon during the week very enjoyable. The last few times I've done on a Saturday it's been way crowded there and not as peaceful. Anyways, once my hair was done I did some shopping..mostly I just got some calenders and a toy for the little one...Oh and I got my coffee finally. I made it home by about 1pmish which gave me time to get Gavii some lunch..She was able to stay up until 2pm then she really wanted a nap..which is strange because she never asks for a nap but that day she was asking for a nap. As it turns out Logan played a game of catch outside with her for about an hour or so that day so generally she was a bit worn out. Anyways, we took some pictures and had a pretty boring day overall once I got home. We ordered out for dinner and then we both ended up crashing at like 8pm because we both stayed up way too late the night before.

So yeah, Logan did get his proof for his book on Wednesday and yeah, he ended up looking it over and whatnot..As of Thursday Ryan headed over before work to look over the proof himself and just to hang out before he went to California. Also, on Thursday I managed to finish Christmas shopping for Logan. I got him a few cool items and yes, I even got him some pants..I can say this and not feel bad because I know he rarely reads my blog and well, I told him I was getting him pants this year because he needed them. Seriously, I've been having to do laundry once a week when it should be a once every two week thing..so yeah, he seriously needs pants.

Anyways, thats my ranting for today...next week is the little one's birthday so I know for certain we'll be going to the mall probably on Thursday..She really wants to go to Build-a-Bear..then once Ryan gets back into town we're going to make a trip out to the Science muesum for her..At any rate, thats my ranting for today...Until I update again...Hasta!

  • A successful Thanksgiving.

So, this year we ended up having a rather successful Thanksgiving. All things considered I was able to get all of my baking out of the way by mid-week which gave the boys more room to work with in the kitchen. We ended up taking out the turkey to defrost with well, enough time to defrost.

Our one friend came over at around 10am to put the turkey in the oven. Mind you, he's used to cooking larger birds so well, shortly after he got here and prepared to put it in the oven he found out that he didn't have to put it in that early..infact, he could have slept in a bit and come over a bit later in the day even. Oh well, we made the most of things and I ended up making some blueberry pancakes and eggs for everyone that morning just so that no one would be starving by the time food was done. The turkey ended up in the oven at around 2pmish..We did eventually come up with a plan which worked out rather well..The turkey was taken out of the oven at around 4pmish and in the meanwhile Logan and I worked on the side dishes. We watched some football, Gavii and I colored and all in all it was a pretty quiet day overall.

Now, our other friend had plans on heading over but we weren't sure when..oddly enough his timing was grand because by the time he showed up we were literally just putting the finishing touches on dinner and setting the table the rest of the way. The turkey was really wonderful and all in all minus Gavii being a bit impatient about waiting for dinner to be done things actually worked out rather smoothly. Of course, my kitchen was a mess and I was running the dishwasher the entire day..I thought it would end up taking me three days to clean up after dinner but it only took me two and a half days which was really rather nice because I didn't want to spend three days cleaning when well, we had literally just cleaned up a lot the morning of Thanksgiving.

Once Thanksgiving was taken care of we started working on getting the house set for Christmas. We dressed up Jacob and then we ended up moving some Christmas tree's out and about around the house..the day before Thanksgiving we went to Wal-mart and well, Gavii tossed down a bit of a fit over a Christmas tree. Well, once she saw Jacob all dressed up..she ended up basically just cleaning up a spot so we could move Jacob to the kitchen which we told her wasn't going to happen. Well, since she cleaned up herself I took what room she did make and I moved down a tree we bought for her downstairs. This was a good choice because she immedately fell back in love with her tree. This has been one of those years where we are really on top of things with Thanksgiving and Christmas..hopefully, we'll continue that way..Infact, if my credit cards would clear I'd get a jump start on the Christmas shopping...Hopefully, tomorrow I can get that started.

At any rate, my hair has been driving me crazy as of late so since I got a cut in September instead of this month I ended up setting up a hair appointment for myself on Wednesday..Hopefully, some of this frizz can be calmed down and well, I'm excited to go to another shade of red again. Typically, I wait until after the holidays but this time I just couldn't wait until after the insanity.

In other news: Gavii is going to be turning six in a little over a week..Yes, I know..time flies when your raising a kid. I swear I blinked and now she's six. We're already trying to make plans for her birthday. She really wants to go the Science muesum and she really wants to go to Build-A-Bear too..hopefully we can squeeze everything in so that she at least has a nice birthday. As is she already got an early birthday gift. She wanted one of those mommy penguin things with a baby in it's belly last year and I didn't get it for her last year..so this year I bought one for her just because..I told her it would be an early birthday present since it's so expensive and she seemed rather fine with that idea..

In more news: Logan is finally getting published! Yes, within the week we should have a rough draft of "Zebra drives the yellow car"..well, okay..thats not the title anymore but still..we're awaiting the proof sometime this week. Logan already got an email from the check in person who said that it was being sent over to the production end of things. Next on the docket is the second book that he's still in the progress of working on..he has the text done but he still has to work on the drawings which may take him up to a week. His 'deadline' is suppose to be Christmas so that they can both be available at the same time..So far, he's just tweaking the first one before he continues and fully finishes the second one. All in all its really good news and even though we're playing the waiting game it's still better then the last people Logan tried to deal with..they seem a lot more professional overall and very willing to work and give 'nice' critism unlike the last people who well..weren't very professional or very great at giving critism.

Well- thats my ranting for today...Until I update again...Hasta!

  • Thanksgiving prep!

This week has pretty much been filed with Thanksgiving prep work! First chore, was to buy the turkey. Mind you, Safeway was running a deal..if you spend 200 dollars on groceries they'd give you a free turkey so of course we did just that! I mean, how can you go wrong with free! They gave you choices on what size bird you would like and I picked the smallest one for numerous reasons..One of those reasons being freezer/fridge space. Well, the groceries showed up along with our free bird and well, we got a bigger bird then expected for free! I wanted an 8 pounder but instead we got a 15 pounder. We had to frantically find room in the freezer for it and also, we had accidently missed last weeks garbage pick up so we couldn't exactly start tossing things..urgh, it was a fight but we were able to find room for the bird in the freezer at least. The next fight would come after the trash gets picked up aka make room in the fridge for the bird and make room in the mini fridge in the kitchen for my deserts and whatnot.

So yeah, this year we have a friend whose coming over to make the turkey. Logan has horrible luck with cooking birds in general. It's really hit and miss so it was really nice when our friend(whose going to school out this way) said he'd be happy to pick the bird. We were going to do a ham but he really wanted a turkey...so, I figure we'll do a ham for Christmas this year since we ended up going traditional with a turkey. Logan and I are planning the menu..We've got green beans, yams, and all the fixing for the stuffing. I'm currently working on the deserts. I plan on making a chocolate chip pumpkin bread/mini-loaves for guests to take home and then I'm making some pumpkin cheesecake. I did also get a dutch apple pie thats frozen that all I have to do is heat up and serve but since I'm already planning on starting to bake come Monday and bake a pie the frozen pie may wait until Christmas.

Also on the 'to do' list is to clean up the kitchen island which mind you I already cleaned last week but somehow stuff is just piling up there again. We also have to clean up the kitchen table since we kinda have stuff in the spare kitchen chair that well, never gets used. Last weekend we had two guests at the same time to watch a boxing match and well, that's the most amount of company we've had in this house in a long while..Needless to say the one kitchen chair always has stuff all over it because it never gets used. Since we're making a huge dinner and whatnot we're going to have to empty out the chair and the place where another guest would be having dinner because it may actually be put to use.

Other then that, we're working on stocking up the house too so that we don't have to leave the house until Monday aka after all the insanity of the stores dies down. I think we'll be doing pretty good overall since we're slowly stocking the house right now..so come Thanksgiving in theory we should be prepared for the long haul weekend at home hiding from the crazy shopping people. I do however plan on getting the bills paid off so that come that Monday I can start Christmas/Birthday shopping for the little one. Now, she's going to be pretty easy to square away this year since we've already compiled a list of her wants. Now, when it comes to the hubby and Christmas and his birthday..I kinda know where I'm going this year with him..to a point but I haven't mentally gotten all of his gifts squared away yet..but I've got time. This basically kicks off our massive holiday run..Birthday, Christmas, Valentine's Day, another birthday(Logan's), then our anniversary..Our holiday season doesn't end technically until Easter.

At any rate, we also have to figure out what Jacob the mouse is going as this year..I'm voting Rudolph but Logan and I haven't discussed it yet..we'll see..Once all is said and done and the kitchen is in shape then we have to make room in the den/foyer so that we can dress up Jacob and make room for presents..work, work.

Oh well, thats my ranting for today..Until I update again...Hasta!

  • My birthday..in a nutshell.

Okay- so it's been a while since I've updated and since the last updated I am infact a year older then I was the last time I posted. This years birthday compared to last years birthday was kind of a rain out to say the least but since I made my entire birthday a whole weekend celebration thing it wasn't that much of a let down overall..just the actual day of my birthday was really rather lack luster overall.

Friday and Saturday we hung out at home and on Saturday we had our normal grocery delievery. Friday our one friend came over which was nice since we don't get to see him too often due to his work and whatnot. Then on Saturday, which is the day that Logan was going to cook..well, our normal Saturday vistor showed up later then normal but he came baring coffee so all was fine and dandy. Anyways, we ordered out for dinner and hung out mostly inside because it got really rather cold around my birthday. Normally, it's not this cold outside until after Thanksgiving but this year is extra special and it got cold literally right around my birthday. Anyways, we watched some "back to the future" and hung out until like 1am on Saturday night..Sunday was again a low down type of day where we didn't leave the house.

Now..on Monday Logan ended up sleeping in a bit which made the Target trip kind of interesting. By the time we got there Starbucks had a huge line and mind you, all I wanted was coffee on my birthday. As it turns out we had to do some shopping and then right as we were checking out Logan had to go back and get my coffee. I did get my coffee and I was able to turn my Target gift card into an ITunes gift card that I promptly used that day. Of course, Gavii ended up bothering me most of the day and well, at the last minute Logan realized he was missing certain items to make my birthday dinner and he never did make my cake BUT of course, I did get "Castle" to watch on my birthday and our one friend did show up too to hang out for a little while on birthday which was again nice. It was also horribly cold too on my birthday so even us sitting outside that afternoon wasn't going to happen.

Anyways, on Tuesday Logan made me my birthday dinner which of course, went all the way wrong. Somehow soap ended up in the fettucine noodles and he was very annoyed with that to say the least. Yes, he was able to save the dinner but he still wasn't pleased..so now today...on Thursday he's remaking what he made on Tuesday in hopes of actually being able to feel good about himself and come through on making me a dinner.

On another note: I did get a ton done this week..I did finally try out the pumpkin pie bread reciepe I found online and I did get to try out my new stoneware aka the mini-loaf pan and the normal loaf pan, I've cleaned the kitchen floors(long overdo), gone through Gavii's closet(also long overdo) and I cleaned off the kitchen island and the stove..tomorrow, I may tackle a bathroom if I have it in me..or I'll just take a day off. Gavii is also so close to being potty trained I can taste it..Soon I'm going to just put her in some big girl underwear(which we just stocked up on) and see what happens..it's about time and well, I'm sick of diapers and it has to be done. One day this week I showed her my cute underwear and she was jealous so we had a talk about underwear..I'm basically slowly getting her into the mind frame of 'diapers aren't cool'..She's going potty on the potty more and more and more..and well, she's almost ready for the big girl pants..yay! That'll open up a whole new world when it comes to schools.

Anyways, it's just been crazy busy here since it's cooled off a lot here. We're also still trying to deal with the stolen title/loan thing which is pretty much being taken care of now but yeah, it's still a pain in the butt..

At any rate, thats my little update for now..Hasta!

  • What a long week it's been..

So, my week has been rather long..It all started on Sunday afternoon..The hubby said he wasn't feeling that great that day and was generally just kind of blah all day long. Once it came time to get the little one outta her room aka alone playtime was over that's when the hubby passed out on the den floor. I got the little one taken care of and then I took him upstairs and got him set up on the couch. Since he was sick the little one and I ended up having some Mexican food and well, I ordered the hubby a salad in hopes that he'd be able to eat well, just simply something..anything. The evening was kind of lonely. I ended up hanging out with the little one and shortly after dinner I took her upstairs for bed and then I took my IPad and moved into the bedroom so I could watch "My so called life" while the hubby was sick. Anyways, he was sick for the majority of the night and yeah..he did eventually have some salad but he had a hard time keeping it down.

As for the following day the hubby was still sick. I did get him to get off the couch for a little bit so I could take care of some chores and get the day going. All in all he stayed awake longer then I expected and he ended up going back to the couch right around the time I took the little one upstairs for the afternoon. The afternoon was lonely of course, I ended up writing out the end of the month bills and then I played some WoW and watched "The Lost world: Jurrasic Park" on one of the movie channels. Once the little one's time in the bedroom was about over I took care of ordering us dinner and all was fine and dandy. We ended up trying out Jason's Deli's pot pies which really was more of a soup but it was really yummy and we both enjoyed it. Her bedtime rolled around and I got her into bed and then I ended up finishing up watching "My so called life". Yes, I finished up the entire series while the hubby was sick so now I'm gonna have to find something else to stream on Netflix when things happen.

By Tuesday the hubby was ready to eat some real food. He wanted some potato soup but he didn't want to touch anything in the kitchen in hopes of not getting anyone else sick. The end result was he kind of walked me through how to make potato soup. I got verbal instructions and he helped out that way..By the end though he did want to do something so we checked his temperature and once he came up with no fever he watched his hands and put on some finishing touches on the soup. Of course, as this week would go by the end of the night my monthly curse had shown up and I was suddenly getting horrible and I mean horrible cramps..urgh, I guess it was good timing on us making the soup. All in all Tuesday night was kind of a bust seeing as how I started to not feel so hot and yeah, we tried to watch a movie but clearly that didn't happen.

By Wednsday and Thursday things had pretty much gotten back to normal for the most part. The hubby is getting the whole eating thing back down and last night he even made chicken noodle soup with some chicken legs and mashed potatoes. Now, of course once we had our yummy dinner we tried to sit down and for real watch a movie. We put on "Galaxy Quest" and long story short, the movie kept freezing in the same spot and generally just being a pain. At first, we thought it was the harddrive..then maybe the computer but yeah, come to find out today that we do believe it's possibly a bad copy of the movie?

Anyways, right now the hubby is trying to catch up on a few phone calls that he hasn't gotten around to making this week because he got sick. Of course, now he's trying to locate where the title to our car is..We got it paid off last year and we still haven't gotten a title..Urgh, thats pretty annoying..He's also been looking into taking care of a few things that again needed to be taken care of but haven't because he got sick..

At any rate, hopefully the bad luck will end here and we can have some good luck in November seeing as how my birthday is coming up soon along with Thanksgiving..This week has just been a pain in the butt and I'm just happy that it's finally Friday and the end of the week..Anyways, at least neither me or the little one have gotten sick so I guess that's something..Oh well, thats my ranting for today..Until I update again..Hasta!

  • Yes, I have an IPhone now..

So, after getting my driod last year for my birthday I swore I would never enter the IPhone craze/family but now apperently that has changed with the IPhone4. We have a few friends who were eye balling it within the last couple of weeks and well, Logan decided it would be best if I could move two devices into one. Basically, once my computer is away for the night I would typically have my Driod and my Itouch out on a table nearby me when we watched movies and whatnot..Well, of course..last week he made a phone call..he said it was 'business' then he started asking me what colors I wanted and I didn't know for what but I gave answers..Once it was ordered of course, he told me I had an IPhone coming to me. I was surprised by this and even though I knew I didn't need a new cell phone at the moment..well, who am I kidding? I like technology but I'll never replace the technology myself. I tend to not buy the new electronic's for myself..

Anyways, the phone was suppose to take two weeks to show up at the house but it ended up getting here on Wednsday. Now, we took it out of the box, let it charge, set it up yadda, yadda all before the phone number was even turned on. We ended up having a bit of an issue with me being able to keep my original cell phone number but well, things got worked out and I do still have my cell number. All in all it's been an interesting couple of days trying to figure the phone out. At first, it wouldn't ring..then we fixed that problem, then I had to shut off the FB notifications then shortly after I made that change it wouldn't ring again..

Long story short, when it wouldn't ring the second time around I had missed a phone call from a friend and yeah, well once he showed up we ended up having to all take turns passing around the phone so that we could figure out why it wasn't ringing at all again suddenly. Of course, we were all kinda stupid with the phone but we figured it out with the help of the internet and just some simple curiousity with looking at the phones and the buttons. Apperently, my phone has a 'leave me alone button' IE: you flip a switch and it goes into silent mode and you won't hear any notifications or any phone calls. The button had gotten flipped somehow and well, hence why it wasn't ringing.

Other then the phone, the neighborhood had their yearly fall party yesterday and Gavii really enjoyed being able to play around in the bouncy house. This year she was even able to go into the BIG bouncy house aka the one that was a maze. Last year, she thought the bigger one was a little scary but not this year..she just jumped right in and had fun with it..This year she even got some face painting..okay, so her face didn't get painted but her arms did and she had a ball and she sat still while the lady painted her hand and even waited in line for her turn to get painted. She even had a snow cone and generally was a pretty good kid but she did have her moments where she was a bit crabby. Mind you, the night before the party thing we let her stay up late to watch "A Land Before time" which she loved but well, we put on the movie a little late and she ended up not going to bed until 9pm. Anyways, she was really riled up after the party but we still let her hang in her room for a little while so she could hopefully calm down which well, didn't happen until later that evening after a bath but she did eventually calm down..

Anyways, after her bath we all headed back outside so that the boys could go outside and play with the blue car..Well, okay not play with the car..They had to finish blowing up the tires so they could push it into the garage. Long story short, since they were still taking down the party the boys were able to get some extra arms from the local neighborhood men and yes, the car is finally in the garage..It only took four men to move it into the garage.

At any rate, Gavii is still a little grouchy today..okay, a lot grouchy. She went to bed at around 8pm last night but after a night of her staying up late, playing at the party and a whole lotta other excitment over the weekend she's clearly a little bit beat and could use some extra rest. She's been pretty well, just not working well with us today..Not following instructions, whining a lot, etc etc..So yeah, hopefully after a little bit of time playing in her room alone and maybe some rest she can get rid of that attitude...if not I'll just ship her upstairs at 7:30pm on the dot tonight just to make sure she can catch up on a bit of rest.

Oh and today I got to use my IPhone for music for the first time..At first, it seemed like I needed to upgrade my speaker system but after looking into it a bit more I ended up just not plugging it in all the way to the speaker system hence the pretty bad sound from the IPhone but yeah, I got it working and I don't have to upgrade my speaker system thingie..

Oh well, thats my ranting for today...Until I update again...hasta!

  • Another week..

So, this has been yet another week..Yes, it's starting to cool off so yes, we are finally starting to venture outta the house a little bit. At this point, we're leaving the house around once a week all depending on when the hubby gets outta bed, when we get outta bed and what type of mood the little one is in when we get up in the morning. This week we went to Wal-Mart to pick up some groceries and sme odds and ends for Halloween then we planned on going out to Target on Thursday again to pick some groceries and hit up the Starbucks within the Target.

Anyways, on Wednsday I ended up making some chilli and corn bread just so that dinner would be done, ready and on the stove at least because Logan had an HOA meeting and I had clue when he'd even want dinner or even be done with the meeting. So, I made the corn bread that afternoon..well, okay I made corn bread muffins and I must say they turned out wonderfully just by following the directions on the box. Once those were out I ended up starting up the chilli so that it could simmer on the stove for a while..all was well until I went to make the beef. Apperently, I grabbed the 2 lbs of beef which was suppose to be for my meatloaf..Urgh, Logan had to step in and help me because that kind of changed what I did last time to this second time making chilli. It turned out really well and we had the day planned out pretty well to where the chilli was done right around when I was getting the little one up from her quiet playtime and into a bath. I got her and me set up for dinner the second the hubby left for the meeting. At any rate, he came back inside to grab up something real quick and informed that there were other kids playing at the park and the little one could go..of course, she wanted to go but she wanted to go and not finish her dinner. It was a bit of a fight to get her to finish but she did finish her food and then I let her go to the park while I cleaned up the kitchen. I was just about done with dishes and some laundry right when the hubby came inside holding a dog. I said 'oh no! Not again??!!'..Yes, we have a thing for finding stray dogs..We've had four come to us since we moved here and all the time it's after hours when we know animal control isn't open. The real kicker this time was that it was a girl dog. We had this happen before aka a girl dog being found and we had to keep her in a bathroom until the owner came to pick her up. Well, this time we hoped the owner would come because the doggie did have tags. The little girl dog was also really well behaved..Kind of scared yes, but she was really well behaved and she was even potty trained. Of course, the hubby's meeting ran way too long and even the little one got sick of sitting at the park.

So yeah, the meeting wrapped up at around 9pmish and then the hubby started making calls. As it turns out the one number on the tag was disconnected..The other number on the tag had a Do Not Disturb message on it and well, you couldn't even leave a message. The hubby tried to get a hold of animal control but of course they were closed but we knew they'd be open by 8am. Even though the girl dog was driving the boy dogs crazy we still decided to keep the dog overnight because she was just that well behaved.

Anyways, the hubby called up animal control that morning and he did get a hold of someone after sitting on hold for about 15 minutes. They said someone would be out to us 'within 6 hours' aka we'd be waiting possibly an entire day for them to show. Yes, they did show up and they did take the little girl dog away. They also said they had chip scanners so thaty can scan her and try and find the owners..Anyways, here's a picture of the little girl...She's really cute and I hope they can find her owners or they can at least get her a new home if she was left behind by someone who lost their home in the neighborhood.

    stuff (135)

Anyways, once the little girl dog was gone things went back to normal in the house for the most part.

Oh well, right now I'm making banana chocolate chip bread with a chocolate glaze. It has another fifteen mintues on it right now and once it's almost cooled off I get to make the glaze and glaze the bread. Our friend is coming over on Saturday and now I'm contemplating making some talipia for tomorrow nights dinner with some really good mac and cheese..not sure yet but I've gotta decide soon so I can take the fish outta the freezer tonight so it'll be ready for tomorrow.

Anyways, that's my ranting for this week..Until I update again...hasta!

  • The end of an era: The Myspace forums.

So, as of today Myspace has announced that it is infact doing away with their forums. Since Myspace has done it's overhaul of the site the whole thing rumor of the forums being done away with have been a popular rumor which some mods have even addressed here and there. Well, I think we all knew it would eventually happen but now, it is going to happen 'within the coming weeks'..However long that happens to be is beyond anyone but oh well..it's going to be no more and we all must bid farewell to a place that was once fun and happy. Infact, Myspace used to be all that and a bag of chips at one point in time..then Facebook came along and killed it's glory. Oh well, everything must come to an end eventually and now Myspace is pretty much digging it's own hole deeper now. So many people I know have already just stopped using the forums altogether due to Facebook or have just in general given up on Myspace the second they did the big overhaul.

Anyways, I've been on forums since I was 19..everything from "Star Wars" to "Mark Hamill" to "World of Warcraft forums" all the way down to "Pro-life/Pro-choice" debate boards I got involved in when I was pregnant..That whole Pro-life/Pro-choice board I was spending a lot of time on was simply an 'experiment' and shortly after I gave birth to Gavii the 'experiment' was closed and so was the board. One morning I was sitting up with a young Gavii after giving her the morning bottle and she was happily in her swing relaxing while I had my coffee and well, I got bored and started clicking around on Myspace and I found the link that said 'forums'. I somehow went into the "Love and Relationship" end of it because well..being married and all it seemed like a good idea and something to do. As it turns out this would become my entertinment for a few years. I've also met a lot of good people on here who are on now on my Facebook. Sure, I've never in real life met a whole lot of these people but they are still very cool people. I also ended up learning a lot from the forums and well, learning that not a lot of grown adults can debate like grown adults.

Then of course..there was the trolls..which yes, my husband did his own bit of trolling on the L and R when he was bored..It was entertaining whenever he decided to troll because in true troll fashion he would put up something so out there and absurb that it was clear he was trolling but to those who did not know him or me or even bother to look at our profile pages..well, it was entertaining and they fell for it hook, line and sinker. Infact, many of my friends would even make 'fake' profiles just to have fun with the general population of Myspace and to help solve boreddom. Of course, on the troll issue- the trolls near the end did get way nasty and unfunny as time went by..Probably why a whole lotta people just stopped going to the place to hang out. Not to mention, after the overhaul certin mods just weren't any fun at all which again took away the fun from us who were simply just trying to have a good time.

All in all though I have been visiting the site less and less..it's been a slow weening off..At first I'd only check it once a week then once a week grew into once a month. Once they remove the forums completely I'll probably remove it from my tab and leave it doorment. As of late I've just been updating photos here and there outta habit. I know the site is trying to stay afloat but getting rid of the forums is kind of just going to make more people want to delete or just simply walkaway from the site altogether which is kind of sad but oh well..all good things must come to an end.

So anyways, this is my Myspace forums dedication blog of sorts..You will be missed but I still hold on to the friends I made from that place so all in all it's a pretty good deal..Farewell Forums! You were fun while you were around and you gave me entertainment and adult interaction when I needed it..Now, I will turn to Facebook to entertain me.

  • Blah, blah, blah..

So, today is the first day of fall and for us in Arizona it's still hot..Urgh..Sure, we've cooled down a bit but it's still in the 100's during the day BUT in the mornings and at night fall it's actually not too bad outside at all..So, we are for sure moving into fall it's just taking a little while for it to get there. I also fully expected one last monsoon before the end of the season. Last year, we got our last monsoon mid-October so I'm figuring this year that may happen as well..

Anyways, seeing as how it's still hot outside we've still been just hanging out in the house a lot and still doing the grocery delievery thing which mind you is starting to get maddening. Gavii has been all about the smoothies in the mornings as of late which is great but with Safeway this week being out of blueberries all together it makes it a bit rough plus they keep running out of the strawberry smoothie packets..Urgh..So yeah, now I've been looking up smoothie reciepes just so I can learn how to make due without the cool little packets. Yes, the packets are convient but if Safeway keeps running out of them I need to know another way to make a smoothie.

At any rate, this week I ended up making my second loaf of chocolate chip/pumpkin bread and muffins. As I normally do I kept the bread for myself and the muffins are being split between our two local friends so that all this food doesn't go to waste. Oh, and I also picked up a box of upside down cake...Yes, I know I said a box. Logan made some sweet and sour pork this week and used up the last of the sliced pineapple and while I was doing the grocery order online I ran across a pineapple upside down cake mix..I grabbed it up along with some extra pineapple and some cherries. It's been a long time since I've that cake..The last time I had pineapple upside down cake was when the coffee shop across the street was open..years ago. I'll go with the box mix first and then try my hand at from scratch. Oh and I also grabbed up Gavii some pineapple juice with the grocery order too. Gavii used to love the stuff when she was about a year old..so I'm curious to see if she'll still the stuff a few years later.

In other news, Logan ended up getting an upset stomach from somewhere and now it appears like he may have a tiny bit of a cold or maybe even allergies..it's hard to say with the weather we're having really..Anyways, we're both still puzzled as to how his stomach got upset..He had corndogs the one night and then made himself a turkey sandwich with all new turkey and everything..the following morning he could barely keep down his coffee...Needless to say it's still a mystery how that upset stomach came to be but it did.

In even more news, Gavii has had a bit of a horse voice this week. It's pretty much all the way cleared up now but we had our fair share of scares this week thinking something was wrong and that she may have to go to the doctor. We're just still trying to keep her as calm as we can just to make sure her voice can get fully back to normal. Today is the first day that her voice seems pretty much back to normal which is a really good thing.

At any rate, it's been a rather boring week overall and nothing too exciting has been going on...just yet. Hopefully it'll start cooling down soon so we can hit up the zoo, the mall, the coffee shop and all the fun things we haven't been doing because it's just too hot outside..Oh well, that's my ranting for today..Until I update again..hasta!

  • It's been insane here.

So, anyways things have been hetic here to say the least which is slightly maddening because it's finally starting to cool down to the point where we could leave the house and go out and have fun..Of course, last week though it was raining constantly..everytime we wanted to do one of the projects we had wanted to get done ready to get started the clouds would open up and the rain would come down..great.

Anyways, last Saturday was choas..Well, it didn't start as choas but it ended up being choas..Yep, basically the boys went out to the gamestore to pick up some warhammer supplies. I cut up some veggies for dinner and then waited for the confirmation that they were coming home so I could start dinner. Well, Logan told me they'd be awhile and to order out. This ended up being the best choice because shortly after that I noticed a storm moving in. Well, I called Logan back when I noticed the storm and told him to be careful. Shortly after that of course the storm rolled in and knocked out the power. I again called Logan and told him to be careful and to hurry. Once I got off the phone with him the delievery place called back and said our driver had been in an accident. I again called Logan and he assured me they were being safe and he'd be home. Well, our power was out for four hours that night and our dinner showed up at almost 9:30pm because they had to remake our food. Dinner showed up so late combined with no power resulted in Gavii having to have fruit loops for dinner but well, she took the power outtage like a trooper. The only bonus to all of this was that Logan brought me home beer which I of course drank. Anyways, it ended up being a rather long night and even though it was insane it was still kinda fun....once I stopped freaking out.

At any rate, the events of this week or well, the past two days have been interesting. Everyone has dropped the ball in one way or another. The one estate lawyer called and they were desperate to get rid of this house in New York and actually sent out paperwork for Logan to sign so they could auction off the house which well, we don't want. I ended up offering up the house on Facebook and that one status resulted in us finding out a bunch of interesting things..mostly that we don't own the house and haven't owned the house in like three years. Yeah, that made the lawyers freak out and they were suppose to call back yesterday to start working on closing this estate and of course, no call back..Then, the one company messed up our direct deposite..then on top of that today we started getting ready to sign the paperwork for the CPA we've hired..As Logan started looking through the paperwork he realized his SSN was wrong..then he looked through the rest of the paperwork and they all had this line down the middle of it. He had to call the guy back and now they have to get us the paperwork again in his email..Now, we can't offically hire this CPA until Monday it's looking like..Urgh!

Oh and yesterday, Logan was taking out the trash..this is a normal thing of course. As it turns out he took a tumble and ended up falling into the house while taking out the trash. I got downstairs with Gavii after her bath and I was prepping stuff for dinner and I noticed it..seriously, the way the house hit him it looks like I hit him a few times while wearing my wedding band..lovely. I just hope it heals quickly and as a sidenote I know that a few friends are going to give him a hard time about the gash on the side of his face.

Other then that- I put in a grocery order and I messed up on selecting the day the food would show up. I thought it was showing up on Thursday but I actually selected Friday..doh! I was going to surprise Logan by trying to make chili too once I got all the supplies..So yeah, I had to spill the beans on my plans since I messed up. In fact, Logan was nice enough to help me by already arranging the cans that he would use to make chili for me. Anyways, the groceries did show up today..yay!! So, now I can make my chili. I've never done this before and it's a whole new world I'm throwing myself into..the soup world. Once I'm done here I'm gonna start working on it because I want it to simmer on the stovetop for a long while..I figure if I start by 2 I'll have the chili done and made by 3 which will give it about three hours or so to simmer and suck in the flavors.

Anyways, tomorrow Norm is coming over again and yet again the boys have a trip planned out to the local gamestore again to pick up paint supplies and whatnot for Warhammer. We're also planning on having Kiley's grill..We ordered out from that resturant once this week and they have rather good food. The plan is to get Norm to try and eat an 18 dollar burger plus about a pound of fries(which of course we'll share as a family) anyways..I'm curious to see how much of this burger he'll be able to take out. Logan got one of their burgers earlier this week and he could barely eat half of it.

At any rate, that's my ranting for today..It's been a long week..Until I update again..Hasta!
